Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for Children 0-4: An Integrated Approach to Physical Activity, Sedentary Behavior and Sleep
The Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for Early Childhood incorporate physical activity guidelines as well as sedentary behaviors, take into account sleep, and demonstrate the relationship between these three behaviors. Canadian children four years old and under spend too much time in front of screens, which prevents them from complying with the new movement guidelines. This shows that the release today of the new Canadian 24-Hour Early Childhood Movement Guidelines - a world first for this age group - could not be more timely.
