Description:

Plant-based diets are becoming increasingly popular, especially among athletes. This module explores vegetarian and vegan diets for athletes, highlighting their distinctions and benefits.

Exercise physiologists will learn about different types of vegetarian diets, macronutrient and micronutrient considerations, and high-quality food sources to support these diets. Additionally, the module covers potential supplements that may be beneficial for vegetarian and vegan athletes. By the end of the module, exercise physiologists will have the knowledge and tools to effectively support and guide vegetarian and vegan athletes in optimizing their performance and nutrition.
