Description:

Limited mobility after stroke can contribute to physical inactivity and sedentary behaviours, which can compromise recovery and contribute to higher risk for developing cardiovascular disease. Exercise and physical activity can help improve many cardiovascular risk factors and may be an effective strategy for primary and secondary prevention. This webinar will explore new research in stroke and exercise that bridges exercise science and rehabilitation science to advance stroke recovery. We will discuss clinical considerations for prescription, effects of training intensity to optimize outcomes, approaches to promote physical activity, and knowledge translation to promote best practices in care after stroke
