Speaker Bio:

Dr. Ashley Gluchowski, PhD, CSEP-CEP, CSPS, University Fellow  /  School of Health & Society, University of Salford, Manchester

Ashley is a clinical exercise physiologist and certified special population specialist. Although her background is in medical science and clinical trials in cardiovascular surgery, her PhD focused on eccentric resistance training in resistance-trained older adults. Her first post-doc position looked at the awareness, knowledge, and implementation of the strength component of the UK’s Chief Medical Officers’ physical activity guidelines in practice. Ashley’s current research fellowship takes a co-design approach to strength training messaging as she attempts to overcome barriers
